Cloud Tongues is an attempt at hiding in a house of mirrors — a somehow failed exile from an already fugitive mother tongue. How does one forget such an engraved knowledge and leave behind the entrapment of this vocabulary of the familiar? I have no clue. But sometimes I remember that I count in whichever language — neither here nor there, trapped somewhere in between. Can I forget myself through constant translation?

The act of translating produces linguistic friction, and reveals a collection of bleeding wounds. It opens a fugitive path where German, Chinese, English, Catalan and Spanish (and everything else barely muttered) are connected, known and unknown to each other. A merry-go-round of sore words, producing both delirium and joy from disorientation.
